Turn-key-ready wavelength-, repetition rate- and pulsewidth-tunable femtosecond hybrid modelocked semiconductor laser

A hybrid modelocked external cavity semiconductor laser with an N+-ion bombarded facet generates optical pulses tunable in the wavelength range 1440 – 1560 nm, at a fundamental mode repetition rate of 2 – 8 GHz and a pulse width of 17 ps – 180 fs.
