Revenue management: What lies ahead?

Previously in the Journal, Peter Belobaba noted that ‘[e]ffective revenue management requires continuing investment in system administration and support, and especially in user education and training’ (Belobaba, 2002). Belobaba expresses concern that failure to pay sufficient attention to such issues risks ‘a future in which the adoption of new RM tools is slowed, the impacts of these RM tools fall short of their promise, and the credibility of RM professionals is questioned.’ The author agrees wholeheartedly with his thesis.
