orthotic device for dynamic monitoring, diagnosis and suppression of pathological tremor.

The invention relates to an ambulatory orthotic platform which is used to monitor and diagnose tremors and to validate both active and passive control strategies in order to suppress a pathological tremor while preserving natural movement. The inventive device is based on an articulated structure which is used to support a group of sensors and actuators that are required to perform the monitoring and diagnosis tasks and to apply the control strategies.
