TESTED TO THE LIMIT

Chinese bridge engineers are currently working on designing and building some of the world's longest and most exciting bridges. The article reviews the top ten longest cable stayed bridges in the world that have been built in China. Also discussed is Jiangyin Bridge, the world's fourth longest suspension bridge. Much of the credit for the recent technical advances in China's bridge engineering capabilities lies in the advanced wind studies on long span bridges being carried out by the wind tulle testing division of the State Key Laboratory for disaster Reduction which is based at the Tongji University in Shanghai.
