Transient photoinduced voltage due to electron transfer in porphyrin polyimide Langmuir-Blodgett films

Photoinduced electron transfer in porphyrin polyimide (PORPI) Langmuir-Blodgett (LB) films incorporated in ITO/PI/PORPI/C20/Al devices was investigated using a fast transient voltage measuring system. The presence of traps in PORPI LB films was indicated by the initial rise of the photoinduced voltage. Based on the biasing voltage, temperature, and electrode dependencies of the photoinduced transient voltage, the generation of electrons in PORPI films was explained in terms of the Onsager model.
