Racial variations in the childhood electrocardiogram: preliminary observations.

Abstract A comparative ECG study of 64 normal male Negro and Caucasian children revealed deeper S v1 and shorter QRS duration in Negro subjects. These findings suggest that normal ECG standards for children may require adjustment for race. The clinical features of seven subjects with left ventricular hypertrophy (LVH) determined by voltage are discussed.
