Characteristics of Journal Authorship by Academic Librarians

Analyse des resultats d'une etude portant sur le taux de publications aux Etats-Unis des bibliothecaires universitaires, realisee a partir de l'examen de 35 periodiques nationaux en science de l'information et bibliotheconomie sur une periode de 5 ans: alors que les publications sont des preuves de dynamisme evident, peu de bibliothecaires s'engagent dans cette voie par faute d'encouragements. Malgre quelques individus tres productifs, le nombre moyen des publications decline sensiblement
