Research on Substation PD Monitoring Method Based on Patrol Robot

The ultrahigh frequency (UHF) method is a reliable monitoring method for the insulation condition of power equipment, but the existing UHF monitoring equipment are mostly immovable, which can only monitor one power equipment. In this paper, a monitoring method for Partial Discharge (PD), based on robot and antenna array, is proposed. Signal processing circuit is designed. The patrol algorithm of robot is designed to realize the function of transformer substation monitoring. It can improve the using efficiency of UHF PD monitoring equipment and reduce the cost of substation PD monitoring equipment. This paper starts with the UHF positioning algorithm and makes a lot of experiments on PD monitoring to analyze the feasibility of the substation PD monitoring method.
