The apparatus to investigate the effectiveness of tv advertising and the method thereof

PURPOSE: A TV advertisement effect measuring apparatus is provided to collect the expressions of advertisement viewers using a camera in a set-top box and analyze the feelings of the advertisement viewers. CONSTITUTION: An image collecting module(2A) receives a gesture of a viewer through a camera(1). A viewer response analysis module(2B) extracts a face image from the image of the viewer. The viewer response analysis module determines gender and age zone of the viewer. The viewer response analysis module determines the expression of the viewer and stores the expression with channel information and time information.
