인스트루먼트 패널용 소재 및 성형공법 개발동향

The trends of materials and manufacturing process for automotive instrument panel were investigated. Plastic materials offer auto engineers a variety of practical cost-effective alternatives, as well as tremendous advantages over traditional automobile production materials. Plastic materials allow auto engineers to have greater freedom in styling, building, and placing components, and give them opportunities to combine several complex parts into a single, integrated piece. Also, plastics components weigh approximately 50 percent less than steel counterparts. They playa a key role in determining the choice of module manufacturing technology and associated costs. New raw materials benefit us for a simplified process, material consolidation and environmental preservation. This study was focused on materials and process for instrument panel.
