Facing the fierce market competition, industrial batch production enterprise needs to have the ability to manage huge amounts of recipes and satisfy dynamic market needs. Traditionally, many industrial batch processes are operated according to rigid recipes, in spite of the fact that production would benefit from flexible recipes that are efficiently adapted to changes in feedstock, product requirements, process and scheduling conditions, etc. To make the batch production process more flexible, based on the research of recipe types defined by ISA S88 standard, this paper designed a novel recipe manage component particularly defined a new recipe type - schedule recipe, which is tailored for dynamic conditions. Finally, specific method of combining novel recipe management component and process control system is presented, and it concludes that this component could better satisfy the batch production enterprise.
