A comparison of techniques for the filtering of noise in the renogram.

Five different methods for filtering the renogram are comparec: (a) conventional smoothing, (b) data bounding, (c) polynomial fitting, (d) smoothing by spline functions and (e) manual graphical fitting. The purpose of the study was to assess how well the techniques retained 'true' features of the curve while removing the statistical and physiological noise.
