Quantum-Evolutionary Algorithm을 이용한 Bit-Parallel 가변 길이 복호기의 Symbol Partitioning 최적화 방법

Naive implementation of a bit-parallel variable-length decoder (VLD) using look-up tables incurs vast amount of memory requirement due to symbol replications. The symbol partitioning technique is a common way of reducing this memory requirement. This paper applies quantum-inspired evolutionary algorithm (QEA) to address the problem, and achieves 17.1% improvement for maximum and 9.7% improvement on average when compared to the heuristic approaches.
