Optimization of in Band Motion Compensated Temporal Filtering

In scalable wavelet video coding scheme,motion compensated temporal filtering is an effective approach to remove temporal correla- tion between frames.By applying lifting implementation of in hand MCTF,multi-hypothesis technology is exploited to improve the efficiency of motion compensation under motion model.An optimized update operator in lifting implementation is proposed to improve scalability under low bit rate and the quality of reconstructed video.Experiments show motion estimation accuracy can be assured in the proposed system.And the ap- propriate selection of temporal filter and optimization of update operation in lifting,make efficiency and scalability of video coding improved.
