Modelado Basado En Agentes Para El Estudio De Sistemas Complejos (Agent Based Modeling for the Study of Complex Systems)

During the last two decades agent based modeling has become more and more used for the study of complex systems in several fields of Social Sciences and for decision making. Entities in a social system can be modeled as autonomous agents that interact in an environment. These models can be simulated to analyse the behavior of the system in different scenarios and configurations. This paper illustrates agent based modeling application for different cases and describes the tools that are more commonly used, as well as the methodological challenges for its use at a large scale.
