Phase formation of the K2MoO4-AMoO4-Hf(MoO4)2 systems and the properties of the ternary molybdate K5(A0.5R1.5)(MoO4)6 (R=Zr or Hf)

The K 2 MoO 4 -AMo04-Hf(Mo04) 2 (A = Mg, Ni, Co, Cu, Zn, Cd) systems are studied in the subsolidus region by X-ray diffraction and differential thermal analyses. Intermediate phases of the 5: 1: 3 and 1: 1: 1 compositions are found in the systems. Triple molybdates of the 5: 1: 3 composition form for all bivalent metals. Crystallographic, thermal, and electrophysical parameters are determined for the 5: 1: 3 phases.
