System and method for discrimination of an aircraft model and docking guide of an aircraft

PURPOSE: An aircraft model discrimination and docking guidance system and a method thereof automatically discriminate the model of an aircraft by applying 3D modeling digital image information processing technology based on a 3D laser scanner. CONSTITUTION: A 3D laser scanner device includes a laser transceiver and a data acquisition and distance measurement device generating data on a distance to an object and images. A model data memory (5) stores specifications and features by model of an aircraft. A data analysis determination algorithm processing device (4) generates a plane view and a front view of the object as the information on the object generated from the 3D laser scanner device and determines the model of the object by comparing the information stored in the model data memory. A character display device (6) indicates docking information generated in the data analysis determination algorithm processing device to an aircraft pilot.
