Logistics and Supply Chain Management for Mass Customization

Efficient logistics and supply chain management is one of the key preconditions for adopting mass customization strategies. However, not much published research exists on analysis and integration of logistics and supply chain management activities in the mass customization framework. This Chapter surveys the existing literature to analyze interrelationships between supply chain management and mass customization strategies. Models for supply chain configuration and inventory management addressing some of the key issues in logistics management for mass customization is discussed.
