Application of the Grey Wolf Algorithm for Optimization of PM Synchronous Motor

The paper presents an algorithm and computer software for optimization of the permanent magnet synchronous motor. The grey wolf optimization algorithm has been applied. In-house software has been developed in the Borland Delphi environment. First, the correctness of the algorithm has been tested using analytical test function. The comparison of two non-deterministic algorithms: (a) gray wolf optimizer (GWO) and (b) genetic algorithm (GA) have been performed. Next, the optimization of the permanent magnet synchronous motor has been carried out. The multiplicative objective function has been composed from three PM motors parameters.
