Efficiency Increase of Solar Cells Operated in Dielectric Liquid

Photocurrent and electrical characteristics are investigated for photo cells operated in liquids. Photocurrent increases with increase in the permanent electric moment of molecules in liquid. This effect is considered to be due to adsorption of polarizable molecules which reduce carrier recombination at the surface of photo cells.
