SerEnergy powers first German methanol fuel cell vessel

The MS innogy, the first passenger excursion vessel in Germany to be powered by methanol fuel cells, was recently formally named and is now ready to take passengers on an environmentally friendly tour of the Baldeneysee (Lake Baldeney), a reservoir in the Ruhr river south of Essen. The vessel is powered by high-temperature PEM fuel cells (HT-PEMFCs), supplied by Danish fuel cell manufacturer SerEnergy, running on reformed methanol.
