Modeling Biological Systems

I Course Description: Many problems in biology and neuroscience have benefited tremendously over the past decades from mathematical modeling. In this course, students will learn about a variety of biological fields where mathematical models and analysis have provided key insights. The increase in the availability of experimental data has led to both successful applications of existing mathematical techniques to improve understanding of biological systems and to novel mathematical analysis in fields such as linear algebra, dynamical systems, probability, scientific computing, and many more.
