Design of a rotman lens based on genetic algorithm

A Rotman lens is designed in this paper. The shape of the lens body and the ports location is designed based on the Genetic Algorithm. By using the Genetic Algorithm, the Rotman lens has a good performance on the insertion loss and the phase error. A Rotman lens with 5 beam ports, 9 array ports and some dummy ports is designed using the Genetic Algorithm at 2.45 GHz. The simulation results demonstrate that the performance of the power efficiency and the phase error are improved effectively.
