Lateral self-excited vibration analysis for a type considering driving force

Self-excited vibration is necessary to form polygonal wear of a tyre.According to a friction ellipse,a driving force has great effect on type lateral adhesion coefficient and it changes lateral vibration of a type.A single DOF model of type-road surface based on LuGre friction model was established.Then,the system was analyzed with driving speed and friction coefficient being bifurcation parameters and the critical conditions for self-excited vibration of the driving wheel were studied.The results showed that the driving force causes disappearance of self-excited vibration in the case of small side angle.
