Localization algorithm for mobile anchor node based on genetic algorithm in wireless sensor network

The significance of localization technology for wireless sensor network is discussed, and localization algorithm based on genetic algorithm for a mobile anchor node is proposed. On the basis of the distance from anchor node to unknown node is measured by RSSI, the algorithm combines weighted centroid method and genetic algorithm in order to locate the unknown nodes. Firstly, weighted centroid method is used to get the initial estimated, and then genetic algorithm is adopted to locate precisely. The paper carries out simulation experiments on moving time, moving speed of the anchor, iterative times respectively, and the result shows that the proposed algorithm has strong expanded ability, low computing complexity, and can significantly reduce the localization error and the number of anchor nodes.
