Human robot interaction in mobile robot applications

We want to reveal the usefulness of mobile robots by showing concrete applications in human daily life through this study. In this paper our trials to realize several specific tasks are shown. The development of an Intelligent Escort Robot moving together with human is presented first. A teleoperated book browsing robot is described next. And finally, a network-based stationaries rental service performed by an autonomous mobile robot is introduced. We present the effectiveness of our approaches to the task realization by showing the experimental results using real mobile robots.
