A modified method of incompatible modes

The original method of incompatible modes proposed by Wilson et al. (1973) is modified such that a constant strain and hence convergence of the method is ensured. The proposed modification is valid for other forms of incompatible modes besides the original suggestion. The least-squares stress recovery, introduced herein, provides high accuracy in stress computations.
