A study of social design evaluation criteria for creating shared value (CSV)

This study aimed to develop social design evaluation criteria for creating shared value (CSV), with the assumption that design can eliminate socioeconomic inequalities. First, we research the changing design values. Second, we propose a social design developmental trait based on various design case analyses for resolving poverty problems. Third, we draw four basic principles for social design evaluation based on the results of the case analysis and a previously conducted literature search. We suggest a detailed social design evaluation standard chart for social design development and evaluation based on the case study results and literature search. In the current situation, wherein there is a lack of understanding of and interest in evaluating and developing social design for the very poor, we hope that this study will succeed in ensuring professional development of social design for the poor in the future.
