Control and research on color regional planning of urban architectures—Taking Shuguang Road in Hangzhou as an example

The generalized color-theory is applied to color planning and design of the urban architectures in this article with the purpose of studying the individual image from the macroscopic view, and regional color division from the microcosmic view; the control guidance of urban architectures color against different regions has been put forward following the principle of integrating the theory and practices. Site investigations on the architectures color in one region in Hangzhou were conducted by making the color analysis after converting the color samples into munsell color labeling parameter (HV/C). The corresponding conclusions are achieved, and the planning thought and regional color-matching guide rules are summarized. At last, rational application of color is applied to maintain and reshape the urban regional features and to make the planning for urban functional regions.
