ROBUST POLE PLACEMENT OF SINGLE INPUT UNCERTAIN SYSTEMS FOR CONTROL OF AIRCRAFT

//oo robust pole placement using weight selection for single-input controllable uncertain systems is presented in this paper. The system is considered with two kinds of robust requirements. One is robust control with respect to system uncertainties, and the other is with respect to system disturbance. The H^ robust criteria based on the selection of the weighting matrix is used to show that the closed loop poles can be asymptoticall y stable under all uncertainties which are parameter-bounded. The purpose of using the weighting matrix instead of the performance output matrix is to ensure that the uncertainties on the performance output can be ignored. It will be shown that the weighting coefficients can be determined by linear algebraic equations. Therefore, this weighting matrix can be used for the algebraic Riccati equation to shift all closed loop poles to a stable area. An aircraft model is used to demonstrate the proposed method.
