Novel Versions of Terahertz Electron Devices

A low-voltage gyrotron (gyrotrino), Large Orbit Gyrotrons and Cherenkov devices with hollow electron beams are promising sources of coherent THz radiation of medium power. Their realization can in particular simplify high-field magnetic resonance spectrometers. Sources of THz picosecond pulses based on coherent spontaneous radiation of relativistic electron bunches formed in photo-injector linacs can provide both narrow-band and ultra-broadband frequency spectra.
