Earliness/Tardiness Flow Shop Production Scheduling under Uncertainty within Finite Intermediate Storage

In this paper, current status of research on scheduling under uncertainties is investigated. The earliness/tardiness(E/T) flow shop production scheduling model is set up based on the theory of fuzzy programming, in which fuzzy processing is considered and the time duration of intermediate storage is limited. The maximum membership functions of mean value (MMFMV) is applied to transform the non-linear fuzzy scheduling model into an accurate non-linear model. An effective GA (genetic algorithm) is adopted to verify the model and satisfactory results are obtained.
