A DWDM system for 256-QAM transmission over 4-km multimode fiber

This study demonstrated a four-wavelength dense-wavelength-division-multiplexing (DWDM) system for 256-QAM digital signals over a 4-km multimode fiber (MMF) transmission. Such a DWDM 256-QAM subcarrier multiplexed (SCM) system has the transmission capacity of 10 Gbit/s over a 4-km MMF transmission by using 252 simulated continuous-wave (CW) carriers. © 2002 Wiley Periodicals, Inc.
