MGF Performance Analysis of AF-CARQ with Blind Relay over Nakagami-\boldmath{$m$} Fading Channels

In this paper, we present the Moment Generating Function (MGF) performance analysis of Amplify-andForward Cooperative Automatic Repeat reQuest (AF-CARQ) system with “blind” relay. We assume the channels are flat Nakagami-m fading channels, which are mutually independent and non-identically distributed, and obtain the MGF by Cumulative Distribution Function. By using the MGF-based approach, we obtain the average bit error rate of binary differential phase shift keying, then give its reliability analysis by simulation result. In our analysis, we show that the “blind” relay system is optimal choice if the Signal-to-Noise Ratio is not very low.
