Detector Size Effects On Peak-To-Sidelobe Ratio In Bulk Acousto-Optic Spectrum Analyzer

An analysis of the detector size effects on the performance of a bulk acousto-optic spectrum analyzer is presented. The performance is measured in terms of peak-to-sidelobe ratio, which is a measure of the analyzer's dynamic range. The numerical results suggest that the system's performance is significantly affected not only by the detector's size but also by the location of the sidelobe within a detector element. These numerical results can be used to guide the choice of detector sizes in practical applications.
