Trace Elements in Six Water Systems of the United States

basic data on water quality.1 The system originally consisted of 50 stations ; it now includes 129 sampling points located on major waterways throughout the United States. Local personnel at the sampling points collect and ship samples to Cincinnati ; the resulting data for each station are returned quarterly to the cooperating agency. In addition to the trace metals analyses on samples from all major river basins, data are also included for physical, chemical, biologic, microbiologic, and radiologic parameters.
