Mobile agent technology canbeusedasoneofthekey technologies fornewcomponentware frameworks. Communication mechanism ofmobile agent plays averyimportant roleinmobile agentsystems. Communication mechanism could satisfy somerequirements, suchaslocation-transparency, reliability andhigh-efficiency. This paperintroduces thecurrent various communication algorithms andmechanisms formobile agent, andsummarizes their advantages anddisadvantages. Subsequently, a newcommunication mechanism formobile agent withthe conception ofvirtual agent isputforward inthis paper. Thiscommunication mechanism couldimplement the synchronism ofcommunication andmigration toagreat extent, whichcould greatly improve thecommunication ejficiency andreliability ofthewhole net.
