Pulse compression technique for multi carrier phase-coded radar

The multi-frequency complementary phase-coded signal (MCPC) has caught much attention of researchers recently as a new system radar signal. This paper provides pulse compression technique for such radar signal. Direct match filtering and synthetic filtering are proposed to compress the echo signal. After comparing their performance via amount of calculations, a wideband-synthesizing method is brought forward. It takes full usage of the multi carrier structure of MCPC signal, while keeps low calculation complexity. The two-level compression scheme is proved to be flexible in different applications.
