Getting people into jobs : case studies of good practice in urban regeneration

Projects to help those most disadvantaged in the labour market to get jobs or go on to further education or training can play an important part in urban regeneration. This report describes case studies for fourteen such projects nationwide. These were selected on account of their good record in getting their clients into work or on training or further education courses, or because they were particularly innovative in their approach. The book identifies those key elements of good practice in developing and managing the projects which were most effective in helping clients, and will be of interest to those involved in training or counselling the unemployed.
