A temperature control system of a thermoelectric cooler is introduced.Heat transfer analysis and model identification method are combined to derive linear dynamic model of the thermoelectric cooler.The model parameters vary significantly with operating conditions.An anti-saturated PI controller is designed based on the identified linear model,and implemented by using NI DAQ card and LabVIEW.Experiment results show that high precision control of the cold-end temperature of the thermoelectric cooler can be achieved under different operating conditions.Both the stationary error of step response and the temperature fluctuation due to cooling load disturbance are less than 0.07 ℃.
