생체모방형 비대칭파형 타원 실린더의 받음각에 따른 유체력 계수 변화

The present study aims at finding the effect of the angle of attack (AOA) on forces acting on the undulated elliptic cylinder inspired a harbor seal vibrissa, which is known as a detecting device to capture the water movement induced by prey fish. Since a harbor seal can be faced a wide range of flow direction due to their movements and surrounding conditions, we considered an AOA of 0, 30 and 60 degree. We investigated the flow around inclined vibrissa shaped cylinder for the Reynolds number (Re) of 500 based hydraulic diameter using large eddy simulation (LES). For comparison, the flow over the elliptic cylinder was also simulated at the same AOA.
