Including distributed resources in distribution planning

This panel summary describes techniques for including distributed resources (DR) in the distribution planning process. While engineers tend to focus on interconnection issues, there are also concerns for the value of distributed generation to the distribution system. The steps taken in typical planning studies are discussed along with typical results.
