Advice on Communication Standards for Smart Grid

First the current communication standards for electric power systems are analyzed and the existing problems are pointed out.Then the requirements of the smart grid on communication standards are dealt with and the technical principles are presented.The initial smart grid interoperability standards framework(release 1.0) provided by the Department of Energy of USA is studied as are its technical principles.The solution for the communication standards for Chinese smart grid is put forward.Finally,suggestions for selection of communication standards for use in the procedures of electricity generation, transmission,conversion,distribution,consumption and dispatching are made.
