Squamous cell carcinoma arising in an area of long‐standing necrobiosis lipoidica

Background:  Squamous cell carcinoma in an area of chronic ulceration is a well‐documented phenomenon. However, its occurrence arising de novo in an area of necrobiosis lipoidica is rare.
