Folding models for the elastic scattering of 7Li+12C

The differential cross sections for the elastic scattering of 7Li+12C at E(Lab)=34 MeV have been analysed using a double folding cluster model (DFCM) generated from the alpha -t and 3a cluster structures of 7Li and 12C nuclei. A 14% reduction of the real part of the DFCM potential was required in order to reproduce the observed cross sections. Further, a density-dependent standard double folding model SDFM potential was also successful in predicting the experimental data, but after being reduced by a renormalisation factor Nr=0.59. The results are compared with the phenomenological optical model predictions.
