철도와 도로수송의 에너지 소비 및 온실가스 배출 원단위 분석

In general, the rail transportation has been recognized as an excellent transportation mode in terms of environmental better than road transportation. However, in Korea the foreign cases about environmental advantages of the railway have been often quoted and quantitative analysis based on Korea its material is lacking now. In this study, we estimated the energy consumptions of passenger and freight using activity data which is Korea Railroad Statistics and Electrical Work Report in case of railway and Energy Consumption Survey in case of road. And we estimated GHG(Green House Gas) emission of passenger and freight on Tier 1 level by applying IPCC 2006 Guideline. Finally we calculated energy consumption unit and GHG emission unit to determine the environmental impact of rail and road transportation. The calculated results of high-speed rail and auto as typical mean of each transportation also compared.
