This paper introduces the method and process for establishing a flight replay system based on real terrains.The creation and management techniques for large area 3D terrains,including the transforming method for geographical data formats,the LOD techniques and the techniques for segmenting the terrain data,are emphasized,and the event-drive mechanism is introduced.These techniques and methods are used to establish a flight replay system.The experiment results show that vivid scene,fluent browse and abundant information are presented in the 3D flight replay system.
