A fully-integrated Wienbridge topology for ultra-low-power 86ppm/°C 65nm CMOS 6MHz clock reference with amplitude regulation

Fully integrated Systems-On-Chip demand very accurate, low power, temperature independent clock references. In this paper, an improved Wienbridge topology is presented, meeting the specifications of this problem. Measurements show a temperature dependence of 86 ppm/degC and absolute accuracy of 0:9% at an oscillation frequency of 6 MHz. The circuit consumes 66 muW and is realized in a 65 nm technology measuring 150 mum by 200 mum. A remarkable similarity between simulation and measurement results has been observed.
