Optimization design for reliability of 3-stage planetary reducer of TBM

The reducer is an important transmission part in TBM excavating system.Based on reliability optimization design theory,the probability models of reliability optimization design were established respectively with the minimum reducer volume serving as objective,and Matlab optimization toolbox was used to optimize the distribution of the transmission ratio and gear parameters.By means of distributing the reliability value to each element of the reducer reasonably,the results gave the optimal weight index of the reducer as well as predicated the reliability of the reducer and its each component in the process of operation.
