The Fourth Dimension of the Skin

The surgeon necessarily has a particular point of view concerning the skin. His repairing and aesthetic gaze is even more intimate since the skin is the object of his work. He manipulates folds, slims, turns, transports and replaces it. Aside from the technical aspect, the author shows us that the objective is sometimes elsewhere in the psychical implications, which, if they cannot always be understood, need at least to be taken into account.
